Ebanil KD 27 Table Lamp by Joe Colombo for Kartell

The table lamp KD 27 is designed by Joe Colombo for Kartell in 1964. This lamp is a rare example because it is a pre-production, handmade in white ebanil plastic. Before the KD 27 lamp was produced in a large edition in ABS plastic, it was handmade in black or white ebanil plastic. This kind of plastic is easy to bend and cut, but not so strong as ABS plastic. This lamp is in good original condition. The ebanil plastic is yellowed and a little damaged. Nevertheless it is a rare piece, hard to find and a real collector’s item.
