The Luzette pendant lamp was designed by Peter Behrens in 1908 for Siemens.
Both lamps are complete original with a nice combination of a opaline glass upper shade and a frosted glass under shade.
The glass is numbered and marked with the Siemens logo. All metal parts are original.
Both Luzette lamps are in very good vintage condition, ready for use.
Peter Behrens is one of the most influential 20th-century German designers.
Peter Behrens was co-founder of the Deutscher Werkbund in 1907. The Werkbund was inspired by the British Arts and Crafts Movement. Its aim was to promote crafts skills while leading into industrial production, where standardization and an objective formal language were to achieve the same high quality standard as that of handmade goods.
That same year, 1907, Peter Behrens founded a large architectural and design practice in Berlin. Walter Gropius, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Le Corbusier also worked there.
Our goal is to provide you with original vintage design.
