This cigar cutter was designed by the German artist Ignatius Taschner, Germany, ca. 1905.
You can put a cigar in the eye of the bird when the beak is opened. When you close the beak it will cut the cigar. The cigar tip will fall into the bin which the bird is holding with his feet.
The bird is made of steel and has a black finish, the bin is made of red copper.
This cigar cutter is still in very good original condition.
