Dorothee Maurer-Becker was borned in 1938 in Germany. She studied languages in Frankfurt and Munich. After living for a time in London and Paris, she moved to California in 1960. She returned to Germany in 1963 with her husband, the lighting designer Ingo Maurer.
Three years later, they established Design M, a Munich based design and manufacturing company.
Dorothee Maurer-Becker never trained as an artist or designer, yet created in 1969 one of the most iconic plastic designs from the 1960s: The UTEN.SILO, or as it was often called in the United States, the Wall-All.
This UTEN.SILO II is the smal version. It is made of black ABS plastic and the hooks are in metal.
This vintage UTEN.SILO is in very good condition.
Our goal is to provide you with original vintage design.
