Wardrobe Cabinet by Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax
This wardrobe cabinet was designed by Belgian designer Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax in the early 1950s.
It is a classic example of mid-century Belgian social furniture design; cabinets like this one were used in schools and factories.
This small cabinet has two lacquered metal sliding doors with elegant wooden handles. Its body is a black lacquered metal frame with wooden panels.
Inside, there is a hanging rod and three shelves.
This cabinet can be used as a wardrobe or for other storage needs.
It is in good original condition with expected scratches and spots for its age and industrial use. The doors still have their original bluish-gray and light-gray paint.
We have cleaned it thoroughly and left it in its original condition, as is appropriate for a vintage item.
