Large Wardrobe Cabinet by Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax

This large wardrobe cabinet was designed by the Belgian designer Willy Van Der Meeren for Tubax in the early 1950s.
It is an example of the Mid-Century Belgian social furniture vintage design: those cabinets were used in schools and factories.
This large wardrobe cabinet has 2 lacquered metal sliding doors with the elegant wooden handels.
The body is made of a black lacquered metal frame with wooden panels. Inside there are a hanging-rod and 3 shelves.
This cabinet can be used as a wardrobe or for a variety of other storage needs. It is in good original condition, with normal signs of age and use in an industrial environment.
We’ve cleaned the cabinet thoroughly and did some necessary restorations, so it’s ready for use.
