Pre-production Ebanil Umbrella Stand by Gino Colombini

The iconic umbrella stand was designed in the 1960s by Gino Colombini for Kartell.

Before going into production, designers would have these objects made in Ebanil plastic as a pre-production sample. The Ebanil was then hand-carved and shaped into the desired design. The rough finish gives the stand a lot of texture, making it a special piece.

This is a true collector’s item and a very rare piece.

The stand is in very good vintage condition and shows signs of use consistent with its age.
