Red Panton Chair by Verner Panton - Early Edition - Herman Miller
Red Panton Chair by Verner Panton - Early Edition - Herman Miller
Verner Panton has designed this chair in 1959. He has searched for the correct method of production and the right manufacturer for many years.
Panton’s design belongs to the tradition of the quest to create the ultimate one-piece chair.
He first came into contact with Vitra in 1963 and together they presented the Panton Chair in 1967.
The first series of the Panton Chair, made in 1967 by Vitra, was made of GRP, enameled fiberglass, which required a labour-intensive production method.
A year later, the move to Baydur, a rigid polyurethane foam, meant that production of the chair truly became an industrial process.
This red Panton chair is made of Baydur between 1968 and 1971 by Herman Miller. The chair is labelled and in very good condition. Please take a look at the detail pictures.
