The Chanterelle vase was designed by Tapio Wirkkala in 1947 for Iittalla in Finland.
The ‘Kantarelli’ vase takes its name and shape from the chanterelle mushroom.
It is one of the great pieces of Scandinavian design and won the prestigious Grand Prix at the Milan Triennale exhibition in 1951.
This nice vase is made of engraved clear glass and produced in 1953.
The Kantarelli exist in different dimensions. This one is no longer published.
It is in mint condition and marked.
