Bågen Armchair by Sven Engström & Gunnar Myrstrand

Sven Engström and Gunnar Myrstrand designed the wonderful ‘Bågen’ chair for Nässjö Stolfabrik around the 1950s.

Nässjö Stolfabrik was later named Nesto Möbel AB. This manufacturer was active from the 1870s until 1992. They are considered as one of the biggest furniture manufacturers in Scandinavia during their time.

A true Swedish design classic featuring a high, rounded backrest inspired by the Peacock chair. It has a strong yet elegant presence. There is no cushion included, so you can make it your personal style.

This particular chair is newly redone with black french polish and is in good vintage condition. The curved wooden backrest has a few small typical hairline cracks. Very common to this type of chairs. This does not affect its strength or appearance. This detail is shown into the pictures.
